Patti Phillips is president and CEO of the ROI Institute and was the ATD Certification Institute’s 2015 CPTD Fellow. Since 1997, she has worked with organizations in more than 60 countries to help them demonstrate the value of a variety of programs and projects. Patti serves on the board of the Center for Talent Reporting, as Senior Advisor, Human Capital at The Conference Board, board chair of i4cp's People Analytics Board, and as faculty member of the UN System Staff College in Turin, Italy.
Patti has written and edited numerous books and articles on the topics of measurement, evaluation, and ROI. Her recent publications include Show the Value of What You Do, Measuring the Success of Employee Engagement, Measuring the Success of Leadership Development, Making Human Capital Analytics Work, Measuring the Success of Learning Through Technology, Measuring the Success of Organization Development, and Measuring Leadership Development: Quantify Your Program’s Impact and ROI on Organizational Performance.
As director of credentialing for the Association of Talent Development (ATD), Morgean Hirt has more than 25 years of experience in personnel certification and accreditation across a variety of professions. She provides strategic leadership and technical expertise in developing and implementing credentialing programs, focusing on test development, policy and standards development, program audits, strategic planning, and ANSI/ISO 17024 and NCCA accreditation. Believing that standards and certification enhance professionalism and credibility, Hirt has led a number of organizations through establishing industry standards for emerging professions, including clinical research, massage therapy, and mortgage brokering.
Prior to joining ATD, she served as an account executive at MetaCred, a boutique association management firm specializing in managing credentialing programs, and spent 12 years as president and CEO of Certified Fund Raising Executives International Credentialing Board, where she was responsible for establishing international support across six continents for a unified standard of fundraising practice. Hirt is also active with the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (ICE), having served as a member of the research fundraising committee, education committee, and annual conference program committee as well as a presenter at the ICE Exchange.
Kylie McLeod manages research, assessment, and communication at the ROI Institute. She develops data collection instruments, collects and analyzes data, writes final evaluation reports, manages research projects, coordinates the communication process, and directs the ROI Institute Awards Program. She also edits ROI Institute books and articles, develops promotional and marketing materials, and assists with the proposal creation process. She served as editor, production manager, and coordinator of the book, Value for Money: How to Show the Value for Money for All Types of Projects and Programs in Governments, Nongovernmental Organizations, Nonprofits, and Businesses (published by Wiley in 2020).
Kylie has a bachelor’s degree in communication and information sciences from the University of Alabama and a master of arts degree in journalism from the same institution. Kylie holds CoreXM and CoreXM Expert certifications from Qualtrics and earned the Certified ROI Practitioner (CRP) credential in November 2019.
Evan is a Senior Analyst for ROI Institute. In his role as an analyst, Evan does mixed-methods data analysis for clients. Evan also supports other team members in the evaluation process and implementation processes. In previous roles, he has worked with environmental NGOs in China as well as working for an agribusiness in Tokyo, Japan.
Evan holds a BA in Global Studies with minors in Political Science and East Asian Languages and Cultures from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and received his MA in International Relations from the American University in Washington, D.C.
