Employers conduct behavioral interviews to find out if the candidate has the skills they need and how the candidate might act in specific work situations. To prove you are qualified, you will need to be prepared to provide concrete and specific examples that prove you have the skills and experience the employer is looking for.

This webinar will explore strategies and provide tips to help you prepare and present yourself at your best. You will 'look behind the curtain' and learn how and why employers develop behavioral questions. You'll also learn about a model for answering behavioral questions that ensures interviewers will get the information they need from you during your interview.  By understanding the rationale and process from the interviewer's side of the table, you'll be better positioned for success in your next behavioral interview!

Alan De Back is an independent career counselor and learning consultant located in the metropolitan Washington, DC area.  His experience includes over 20 years in career counseling and learning/training related functions.

In addition to his current independent role, Alan has served as director of global learning for an Internet consulting firm and manager of leadership development for a major aerospace corporation.  His experience also includes a role as a career counselor/trainer and program manager for a local Northern Virginia government, and assistant director of career services for a major Upstate New York university.

Alan holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology and History from the State University of New York at Geneseo, a Masters degree in Human Resource Development from Rochester Institute of Technology, and a graduate level certificate in Industrial Labor Relations from Cornell University.
