Kenneth Barber is the Manager of Learning & Development for Shell Oil Company with responsibility for Jiffy Lube International’s 2000 stores and 18,000 employees. Under his leadership, Jiffy Lube University was created in 2008 as a learning brand. Today JLU has over 100 WBT courses and 9 ILT courses which constitute the 10 Certifications for store level employees and managers. With a Learning Team of only 8, JLU has recorded over 1 million hours of learning for three consecutive years. JLU has been featured in several trade publications and has won 20 national and international awards in 10 different competitions over the past three years. Awards include a First Place finish in the American Society of Training and Development BEST Award in 2011 along with awards from Automotive Training Managers Council, Training Top 125, CorpU Xchange, E-Learning 100, Learning Elite, Bersin Awards, Brandon Hall Awards, Bob Pike Award, and the International E-Learning Award. Ken is a popular speaker at Training Industry conferences and conventions.
