By now you know the basics of feedback—the importance of preparing, the need for objective data, focusing on outcomes, celebrating wins, and identifying gaps. But how does that play out in real scenarios? How can managers be prepared for key conversations that they will need to have with their teams? In this webinar, we will share real examples of feedback scenarios, review what happened, and consider how the manager could have handled it differently and how to prepare so you don’t find yourself in the same situation. Some example scenarios include denial/blinders about the feedback, conflicting data and perspectives, struggling to manage the conversation when it goes a different direction, the confusion of a feedback sandwich, missing a focus on behaviors, no clear next steps, and other common mistakes in feedback conversations. Participants will walk away with clear examples of what they can do in those situations, and actionable tips to prepare for their next conversation so they deliver impactful feedback.
