By now, you have probably heard that the Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) is transitioning to the Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD). In addition to the name change, the certification process and the test format are also changing. The CPTD exam format is being piloted in August 2020 and applications are open for the exam window.

If you are considering signing up for the CPTD, join us to learn more about the pilot process.

Associate Director, ATD

Holly Batts is associate director of ATD's Certification Institute and has more than 15 years of experience working in the nonprofit sector. Her background in developing and maintaining certification programs includes mid- to high-stakes assessments, extensive work with organizing SMEs, and a thorough understanding of the certification process. Holly holds a master of science degree in organizational leadership as well as Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Association Executive (CAE) certifications.

Senior Project Manager, ATD

Sue Kaiden is senior project manager, credentialing for the ATD Certification Institute. In this role, she supports candidates throughout the decision and preparation process and manages recertification for APTD and CPLP credential holders. Prior to joining the CI team, she served as manager of the career development community at ATD where she oversaw content and services related to career development, including ATD's Job Bank.

Prior to working at ATD, she held executive and consulting roles in the healthcare, IT, and nonprofit sectors and founded a career coaching firm, CareerEdge. In addition, she started a job search support program for unemployed and underemployed people in the Philadelphia area which she ran for 11 years. Through this program and her coaching practice, she helped hundreds of people find meaningful work. She is the author of “Keeping Your Career on Track” (TD at Work) and the editor of Find Your Fit: A Practical Guide to Landing a Job You'll Love, a book written with 16 top-notch career coaches, published in October 2016. Kaiden holds a master of business administration degree from Cornell University and recently achieved the Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD).
