Challenges to Consider When Pursuing Laboratory Inventory Management

Most laboratories today must operate within a dynamic environment of government regulations at the Federal, state and local levels. This complexity can create substantial risk, as geographically dispersed teams may have to track and adhere to separate standards. When those regulations concern chemicals, it is vital that the organization deploy efficient processes and systems that enable laboratory and Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) personnel to easily comply with regulations and ensure safe, accurate inventory management. Centralizing this process in a common software environment provides the foundation to scale consistent and efficient practices across the organization – especially as more organizations move to the Cloud. Making these “best practices” more accessible minimizes risk to employees. By making lab EH&S operations less of a bottleneck, you improve your ability to bring new products to market quickly while also simplifying reporting for internal and regulatory purposes.

Anne Sefried is currently the Product Manager for BIOVIA CISPro. She has been with Dassault for 14 years, the first 10 of which were spent between the Support and Presales organizations implementing, training, and supporting CISPro for many of our customers across disciplines and industries. Prior to joining Dassault she served in the United States Air Force where she spent four years as an Intelligence Imagery Analyst.
