Rich Cordrey is an award-winning education, performance, and technology professional who has spent the last decade leading key growth initiatives, building high-performing teams, and developing strategies across multiple systems and workgroups. As Head of Learning & Organizational Development, Americas at IHS Markit, Rich is responsible for the learning strategy and employee development of a dynamic workforce of 7,000+ in a diverse range of sectors and markets across North America. In 2019, Rich accepted the ATD Certification Institute Champion Award on behalf of AutoNation in recognition of an ongoing effort to improve and demonstrate the professional capabilities of the learning & development team at the company. As part of this credentialing effort, Rich successfully completed and was awarded his CPLP certification in May 2019.

Rich holds B.A. and M.A. degrees in sociology from the University of North Texas and the University of Texas at Arlington, respectively. He is currently pursuing his Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership with a focus on Learning with Emerging Technologies at Abilene Christian University. 


Joe Dusing
Joe Dusing

Director, Learning & Development, Paylocity

Joe Dusing is responsible for driving business results by leading a team of more than 70 L&D professionals that support 3,000 internal employees and more than 16,000 external clients. He partners with executive leadership to guide learning strategies through client training, operations training, product training, and inside and outside sales training. Each team is composed of learning design and learning delivery professionals. These strategies help guide execution of business strategies and drive positive business results.


Cathy Schaefer

Director, HR Employee Development and Talent Management Systems, M. D. Anderson Cancer Center

Cathy Schaefer leads a team that designs and delivers strategies to support the organization's 21,000 employees from their initial pre-boarding and onboarding experiences to a variety of development activities throughout the employee life cycle. Her teams also implement, administer, and optimize the systems that support recruiting, onboarding, performance management, succession planning, and learning management across the organization. Cathy holds a BBA in marketing from the University of Texas at Austin and an MA in human resource management from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. She earned a PHR in 2001 and a CPLP in 2013.


Susan Kaiden, APTD

Senior Project Manager, ATD

Sue Kaiden is the senior project manager, credentialing for the ATD Certification Institute. In this role, she supports candidates throughout the decision and preparation process and manages recertification for APTD and CPLP credential holders. Prior to joining the CI team, Kaiden was the manager of the career development community at ATD, where she managed content and services related to career development, including ATD's job bank. Before coming to ATD, Kaiden held executive and consulting roles in the healthcare, IT, and nonprofit sectors and founded career coaching firm CareerEdge. In addition, she started a job search support program for unemployed and underemployed people in the Philadelphia area, which she ran for 11 years. Through this program and her coaching practice, Sue helped hundreds of people find meaningful work. Sue is the author of "Keeping Your Career on Track" (TD at Work) and the editor of Find Your Fit: A Practical Guide to Landing a Job You'll Love, a book written with 16 top-notch career coaches. She holds a master's degree from Cornell University, a bachelor's degree from Miami University (Ohio), and is a certified Myers Briggs (MBTI) and Strong Interest Inventory practitioner.
