Learner Outcomes:
Upon completion, each participant in the eAudiology Web seminar will be able to:

  1. Define anatomy and physiology of the middle ear
  2. Determine the most appropriate Middle Ear Evaluations based on patient population
  3. Define parameters and set up customized protocols for different immittance measurements

Description:
This eAudiology Web seminar will provide information on the measurement and interpretation of middle ear evaluation, present information on methodology, and provide training on collecting and understanding data. Results of middle ear evaluations using the GSI TympStar will be discussed. Tips and tricks for maximum efficiency will be reviewed.

Laura Prigge, AuD is an Application Specialist with GSI. Laura received her Doctorate of Audiology degree from AT Still University, a Master's of Arts in Audiology from UCONN and a Bachelor's of Science degree in Communication Disorderes from Western Illinois University. Laura's 15 years of experience includes providing manufacturing support for a leading hearing aid manufacturer as well as technical audiology training and support for an international audiologic equipment company. Prior to that, she managed education and training at another hearing aid manufacturer and conducted audiologic evaluations on children, adults, and geriatric patients at a retail hearing center.
